Description: Coming back from the Blade show with journeyman smith test knives is one of my great highlights of the year. Five knives are made by each applicant that are the height of their work at the time. These knives are judged by ABS Mastersmiths on fit and finish, as well as general artistry. Each must be forged to shape from carbon steel. The standards are exacting. With this hunter, Reggie Barker gained the ranks of ABS Journeyman Smith at the 2002 Blade Show. As you would expect, the fit and finish is excellent. The blade has a distal taper for balance. The red micarta handle will hold up well under use. Excellent edge geometry for optimal cutting and edge retention.
