Description: I've come to expect Lonnie's hawks to be exceptional -- they are brought to a level no where else seen on hawks. On this unique hawk, he has combined his skills in wrapping techniques and ray skin learned from making traditional Japanese tanto, and brought this to the world of tomahawks. The result is an excellent grip in the hand.
Pewter accents are poured directly into wood and then mirror polished. This piece is very sturdy and well weighted for chopping. The head measures 9 1/2" across, with a cutting edge of 3 1/2". It is rare to see a piece of Damascus so large and well executed, let alone one so spectacular. Lonnie is an up and coming maker that is going somewhere!
