Description: Frank Edwards began his journey into knifemaking in 2009 and started forging in 2011. He joined the American Bladesmith Society in 2017 and has taken classes from some of the greats in the custom knife world including mastersmiths Bill Burke and Rick Dunkerley. In a relatively short time, Frank is creating world class folders that rival those made by his teachers.
The mosaic damascus blade was forged to shape from 1084 and 15n20 carbon steels. The high contrast pattern is captivating and will have excellent edge retention. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend using camellia oil to protect the blade from rust.
The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth and consistent action. It can be easily deployed using the .999 fine silver Dellana dots.
Muskox scales are set on fileworked and heat colored steel liners. Muskox (Ovibos moschatus) is an Arctic mammal of the family Bovidae. Muskoxen primarily live in Arctic North America and Greenland, with small populations in Sweden, Siberia and Norway. The world population is estimated at between 80,000 and 125,000. The convoluted, translucent figure is immediately captivating. Muskox is among the rarest handle materials used by knifemakers today. The scales are fit perfectly to mosaic damascus bolsters. They are hand engraved by Frank and inlaid with .999 fine silver. A running wheat pattern is engraved along the heat colored backbar. The contoured handle is extremely comfortable.
Excellent work throughout!
