Description: Journeyman Smith Mike Clarke's attention to detail is clearly evident in his exquisite work. He builds knives for daily use, yet they have an exquisite fit and finish.
This lightweight knife weighs in at just 3 ounces making it an easy knife to carry every day. The 3.7 inch blade is long enough to get most any task done with easy, yet compact enough to not be noticed until it is needed.
The blade is hand ground 80CrV2 carbon steel and features a hand rubbed satin finish. Mike's maker mark is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is Australian ringed gidgee wood (Acacia cambagei). Gidgee is an exceptional wood for knife handles and is considered to be one of Australia's most beautiful timbers. It has tremendous stability even when exposed to fluctuations in humidity and temperature. It is among the densest woods in the world and has a beautiful curl similar to Hawaiian koa. The compact handle fills your hand nicely and feels great.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand stitched leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
