Description: Swedish bladesmith Roger Bergh forges one-of-a-kind, sole authorship creations that have a timeless beauty and high attention to detail. His control over damascus and his skill at combining exotic materials set him apart as an artist. This stunning hunting knife combines an elegant damascus blade with a combination of beautiful ivory and wood. It has been kept in a private collection since it was made. It is in brand new condition and by all appearances it could have been made yesterday!
The mosaic damascus blade is a multi-bar composite. The edge and spine bars are forged into a firecracker pattern from 20C and 15N20 carbon steels -- a combination that is visually striking while having excellent edge holding ability. The firecracker damascus surrounds a central mosaic checkered bar. This combination of patterns is extremely engaging! Roger's mark is on the right side of the blade.
The handle combines mammoth ivory and dyed and stabilized maple burl. The mammoth ivory selected is exquisite, combining extremely rare black tones with cream and hints of blue. Alternating fiber and stainless steel spacers will help the natural materials adjust to humidity and temperature changes. A mosaic star damascus end cap finishes the handle.
Excellent work throughout!
