The chasing on the hilt and sheath are traditional designs and are a spectacular amount of work. Few artisans in the world are capable of work at this level. The blade was forged by the artisans of Tula, Russia, which has long been known as the major metalworking center of Russia. The blade has one narrow and one wide fuller on each side and a mirror polished finish.
