I made my first knife in 1982 and have been making knives full time since 1994. I began by taking a 2 week forging course from Rob Hudson, after which he invited me to train in the making of Damascus while staying at his shop. Since then I have received training from Steve Dunn, Ed Caffrey, M.S., Jerry McDonald and Gerome Weinand.

I make an assortment of unique knives including Hunters, Utility knives, Skinners and Bowies, using stainless steels such as ATS-34, carbon steel, and my own carbon steel Damascus. Depending on the blade material, I either stock remove or forge the blade. I pride myself on my attention to detail. My knives typically have filework and tapered tangs for an excellent feel in the hand. A cryogenic quench during heat treating makes my blades keep an excellent edge.
