JD Barth makes his home in western Montana.

JD makes a very beautiful and useable knife -- knives that are made of ATS-34 stainless steel, sub -zero quenched and double tempered, to 59-60 rockwell hardness. JD also works with stainless damascus and carbon damascus steel. All blades are hollow ground, with tapered tangs or full tangs with filework depending on model. Models with guards have guards of nickel silver. Models with bolsters are made with 416 stainless and are dovetailed. All models come with red liner between tang and handle material.
